The anchor will not tarnish if it always worn on the same side (a little tarnish will show on the back). Choose the side you prefer onyour first time wearing it. The leather cord is replaceable (see video) as it will do as leather do overtime and darken. If you would like to get a fresh one, the cord is also sold separately.
